Since the conception of the Artists Network in 2016 there has been a lot of change at Celf o Gwmpas but the appointment of Jane Mason, as the network co-ordinator has seen the group grow from strength to strength.
The Artists in the network have had three annual exhibitions here at Centre Celf and this year 2019/20 saw the exhibition "Discovery" go on to travel to Brecon and the Andrew Lamont galley at Theatr Brycheiniog. The exhibtions have been well recieved and the work highly praised including complements from representative of the Arts Council Wales, who continue to support Celf o Gwmpas and the work it does within the Arts in Mid Wales.
The membership has varied over the years as peoples careers develope and they move on, so new people come to the area and join to connect with other like minded people and find their place within Mid Wales. We have established artists looking to network and find opportunities and beginners who maybe haven't had the time and space to practice their art and need a little help and support to get going.
The monthly meetings can be buzzing with sharing new opportunities and events to attend but also quietly creative as people experiment and learn new skills. All of this is shared in the monthly newsletter sent out to members so those who can't attend the meetings don't miss the opportunities available and information discussed that month.
The group continues to grow and develope both in relation to professional practice and personnal confidence. If you feel you could benefit from being part of our group please get in touch with Jane at firstname.lastname@example.org
