Lois Hopwood studied Fine Art at The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne 1982-86 and won the South West Open in '86.
Since then her work has been in the decorative arts with eight years as a textile conservator at Hampton Court Palace. She studied interior design at Chelsea, for a diploma and worked as an assistant on two Harry Potter films, Charlotte Grey and Neverland.
Since moving to wales she has settled in Knucklas with her partner, the potter, Tony Hall, where they have established Castle Hill Arts.
Lois has exhibited in the Ludlow Open, Oriel Davis, Silk Top Hat and Twenty Twenty Gallery. In 2010 she won the drawing Bursary at the Courtyard Hereford.
Lois is a member of Absrtact Edge and exhibits locally in Knighton Fine Art, St. Michaels Discoad, Fiveways Monmouthshire and is the exhibitions officer at The Bleddfa Centre.
