Introduction to Patchwork & Quilting

Patchwork & Quilting six week course with Gwyneth Rose

Fortnightly starting Friday 18th September 2026 2 -4pm 

2nd, 16th & 30th October 13th & 27th November 2026

Patchwork & Quilting: At these workshops you will be taught a variety of blocks starting with a simple 9 patch of squares and a star block. We will consider colour and design in putting our blocks together to create a small quilt top, table runner or cushion cover. Once our quilt top is constructed we will look at different methods of quilting and binding our work.

Although this class is intended as a machine sewing workshop, it can easily be done by hand.

About the tutor: Gwyneth is a textile artist who has been doing patchwork and quilting since the 1970s. She works in both traditional and contemporary style textiles and has been teaching for over twenty five years.
