Llandrindod Wells art Club
Our current exhibition is a collection of work by members of Llandrindod Wells Art Club.
The club was founded in 1955 when a group of friends who had been attending local classes decided to form their own art club. The first meeting was held on the 28th March 1955. Initially the club met at The Metropole Hotel and the first exhibition took place there that same year.
Over the years the club has gone from strength to strength. Weekly meetings are held weekly at Centre Celf.
There is one professional artist, but most are keen amateurs. There are no tutors as such, but they help each other, sharing techniques and information to expand their knowledge.
This new exhibition has a wide range of subjects and mediums.
The exhibition runs from Tuesday 20th October until Friday 27th November and is open Tuesday - Fridays 9am - 5pm and Saturday term times, 9am - 12pm.
